Literature Text

There's nothing that makes my heart grow cold more than waking up to blank slate grey skies,
Remembering that just after you've come, you'll leave me again.

Sitting alone with all my friends at breakfast,
And starting the day just wrong.

Trying my best to smile for crowds with indistinct crowds,
Warming milk and trying not to stare into space.

Moving in the same patterns over and over,
In an ambivalent dance of monotony,
As thought it'd make time drip at all.

Just as the sun fills half the sky,
All that I can look forward to is walking home in the rain.

But then the weather turns just when you touch me,
And at the end of the light you'd bring me all the colours,
And that would be enough.
You know I like them.

(c) Me.

Hello there,

The goal of #PennedPaper is to provide exposure to the under-appreciated writers of dA and to provide feedback on all works submitted to us. For this reason we do not accept deviations already found in six or more other group galleries at the time of submission to us. This is not an attack on the artist and has nothing to do with the quality of the deviation. For this reason, your work has been declined. For more information please read this news article [link]

You are welcome to submit other pieces found in less than six other group galleries to us.

Thank you,
~AzeeraTheNinja - #PennedPaper
